Background in Massage Therapy Training

When Josh was an acupuncture student, he observed the synergy effect of massage therapy along with acupuncture. As an intern, Josh incorporated massage therapy into his daily practice in treating patients with various musculoskeletal issues. After graduating from his Masters program, Josh went on a skill-enrichment journey to Taiwan in order to advance his skill in massage therapy. That’s where he followed Master Shih. Master Shih has 25 years of experience in acupressure. He has hundreds of students all over the world including Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the USA. Combining his own knowledge in acupuncture with Master Shih’s teaching in acupressure, Josh has developed his own acupressure style that is both therapeutic and relaxing.

Josh also trained with Master Chen. She has 30 years of experience and her teaching comes from the “Wudang Mountain” Taoist priests. They are best known internationally for their “Tai Chi” exercise. Millions of people now practice Tai Chi everyday all over the world. Josh developed his own massage technique by incorporating the Tai Chi breathing and energy work. By doing so, the therapeutic effect of his techniques was greatly increased.
