About Sunny Shih

Sunny Shih, LMT, HHP, RN (Taiwan) was a registered Nurse in Taiwan with experiences in the Urology and Plastic Surgery departments of various hospitals. Coming in with a strong Western Medicine background, Sunny furthers her study in the prestigious National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences by graduating with a  masters degree in Integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western Nursing. She wrote her dissertation paper on “The Effect of Dharma Drum Eight-form Moving Meditation on Autonomic Nervous System and Quality of Life in Aged People”. She also hosted the International Children’s Continence Society’s yearly conference in 2011 which took place in Taipei, Taiwan.

Sunny’s true passion is in massage therapy. Sunny knows how to perform massages even before she became a massage therapist in the United States. She learned from her father, a master in acupressure massage with hundreds of students worldwide, when she was a Nursing student for 10 years straight. Sunny’s specialty is in the form of magnetic tool massage which traces its lineage back to her ancestors on her father’s side. The magnetic tool massage is a great way to help people to deal with chronic pain issues.

Sunny went to Chingmai, Thailand twice to further her skills in massage therapy. She brought back Thai stretching and herb ball compress into her massage skill set.

Sunny completed her 1000 hours of training at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health which has earned her degree in HHP (Holistic Health Practitioner) program. She is currently licensed in the State of California and Nationally in the US. During her curriculum at Healing Hands, she learned sports massage, LomiLomi massage, and many other styles of massage to further her training in the field of massage therapy. With the combination of different massage techniques, Sunny can greatly increase the therapeutic effect of her massages.
